Overview
Green & Smart Utilities Ltd completed a solar system upgrade for The Purple Place at Ultimate Garden, Lokogoma, Abuja. The project upgraded the existing site system from 13.1 kWp solar PV, 7.5 kVA inverter capacity, and 10 kWh battery storage to 19.95 kWp solar PV, 23.5 kVA inverter capacity, and 32.5 kWh lithium battery storage. The works included rooftop solar installation and wiring, wall-mounted inverter and protection equipment installation, battery integration, power output distribution, circuit separation, testing, and final commissioning.
Scope of work
- Upgrade the site solar system from 13.1 kWp to 19.95 kWp.
- Carry out inverter power supply distribution and circuit separation.
- Install, wire, and configure rooftop solar panels.
- Install wall-mounted inverter sets, breakers, trunking, and busbar panels.
- Connect and configure lithium batteries, including integration with existing storage.
- Test and commission the completed system.
Outcomes
This project demonstrates GSU’s ability to execute commercial and institutional solar upgrade works involving capacity expansion, multi-inverter configuration, lithium battery integration, circuit separation, commissioning, and technical documentation. It is relevant for future proposals that require evidence of EPC delivery experience on private-sector and facility-based solar systems. Project recommendations also emphasized routine panel cleaning and regular inverter maintenance to support continued performance.
